Is Pain Keeping You Up at Night?

October 21, 2019

Applying Salonpas before bedtime can ease nighttime pain.

Is pain keeping you up at night?   Daylight Savings Time ends on November 3rd and we get another hour of sleep. Whether we “spring forward” or “fall back,” our sleep patterns can become a bit jumbled. Ben Franklin—of “early to bed and early to rise” fame—was reportedly the first person to suggest the daylight savings time concept, according to computer scientist David Prerau, author of the book Seize the Daylight: The Curious and Contentious Story of Daylight Saving Time (DST).

As reported by the National Geographic, “research suggests that sleep deprivation, the body’s circadian clock and immune responses can come into play when considering reasons that changing the time by an hour can be detrimental to someone’s health.”

Another major thing that can disrupt our sleep is pain.  Achy joints, shoulders, backs and legs can translate to a lot of tossing and turning.  Many Salonpas customers write to us saying that prior to using Salonpas, pain symptoms kept them wide awake as they attempted to wind down for sleep.  What products are helping them?  Some customers swear by our patches, while others turn to our jet spray and deep relieving gel to quickly lessen their pain and let them enjoy a good night’s sleep.

As the Greek philosopher Heraclitus said, “even a soul submerged in sleep is hard at work and helps make something of the world.”

At Salonpas, we want to make sure that you are able to make the most of your world and face the day with energy. Does pain ever affect your ability to get to sleep?   Please let us know if there’s a Salonpas product you turn to that helps you get pain relief so you can get some zzzzzzz.
