Is pain keeping you up at night? Daylight Savings Time ends on November 3rd and we get another hour of sleep. Whether we “spring forward” or “fall back,” our sleep patterns can become a bit jumbled. Ben Franklin—of “early to bed and early to rise” fame—was reportedly the first person to suggest the daylight savings time concept, according to computer scientist David Prerau, author of the book Seize the Daylight: The Curious and Contentious Story of Daylight Saving Time (DST).
As reported by the National Geographic, “research suggests that sleep deprivation, the body’s circadian clock and immune responses can come into play when considering reasons that changing the time by an hour can be detrimental to someone’s health.”
